Food Handlers and Business Owners

Please be advised of program updates and upcoming course dates and to the Food Handler Training program for 2026.

Since the program was introduced several years ago, the training has continued to evolve based on participant feedback and local experience delivering the courses.

Beginning in 2026, the training will be offered in two formats:

First-Time Food Handler Course
Full training program and certification exam for new applicants. Course length is approx. 3 hours.
Upcoming Training Dates:
Tuesday, June 16^th – Morning – 9AM to Noon
Thursday, June 18^th – Afternoon – 1PM to 4PM

First Time Food Handlers Training Course – Fill out form

Food Handler Refresher Course
Short renewal course for people who are renewing a valid existing food handlers permit. The course reviews essential food safety practices and is followed by a brief quiz. Course length is approx. 90 minutes.
Upcoming Training Dates:
Monday, June 15^th: 10:30 – Noon or 1:00PM – 2:30PM
Tuesday June 16^th: 1:00PM – 2:30 PM
Thursday June 18^th: 9:00 AM – 10:30AM
Friday June 19^th: 9:00AM – 10:30 AM

These changes are intended to make the renewal process more convenient while continuing to reinforce important food safety standards.
