Voting Bureau Saba Establishes Election Results

The Voting Bureau of Saba established the island’s results for the Second Chamber elections earlier today. D66 received the highest number of votes with 103 ballots, accounting for nearly 40% of the total votes cast.

GL–PvdA followed with 68 votes, and PVV received 25 votes.

Of the 976 eligible voters on Saba, 260 cast their vote, representing a turnout of 26.6%. One blank vote was also recorded.

Voter participation this year closely mirrors that of the 2023 elections, when 240 out of 912 eligible voters took part, marking a turnout of approximately 26%.

While Saba’s results have been finalized, the overall election results in the European Netherlands are still being verified. As of this morning, D66 leads with approximately 1.76 million votes, holding a narrow margin of just over 15,000 votes ahead of PVV, which has almost 1.75 million votes. An estimated 90,000 mail-in ballots are also yet to be counted. Due to the close margin, these remaining votes are expected to play a decisive role in determining the final outcome. Final verified results are anticipated early next week.
