Saba Tourist Bureau Organizes Exciting Events for Tourism Awareness Week

In celebration of Tourism Awareness Week, the Saba Tourist Bureau is excited to announce a series of fun-filled activities from Wednesday, September 25 to Sunday, September 29, 2024, aimed at showcasing Saba's unique charm and engaging the local community. Here's what’s in store:

Kids Activities Booklet

On Friday, September 27, 2024, all students at Sacred Heart School will receive a special "Kids Activities Booklet" that highlights Saba’s renowned "Unspoiled Queen" assets. The booklet is designed to be both educational and fun, featuring puzzles, mazes, coloring pages, and fascinating facts about what makes Saba such a unique tourist destination. Through these interactive activities, children will learn why visitors are drawn to the island's natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Radio Show

Tune in to Saba Radio 93.9 FM for insightful discussions. On Wednesday, September 25 and Friday, September 27 at 11:00 AM, host Mr. Dave Levenstone will lead the talk show on two key topics: the "Tourism Master Plan" and a panel discussion "Tourism Moving Forward."

Village Street Fair

A vibrant Village Street Fair will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Windwardside Parking Lot in front of the Tourist Bureau from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The event is a highlight of Tourism Awareness Week, offering an exciting blend of food, drink vendors, and live entertainment. Attendees can look forward to performances by DJ Noah, In the Mix Band, Child Focus, and a cultural display by the Mini Miss Saba participants.

There will also be live arts and crafts workshops from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, hosted by talented local artists including Mary Thielman, Susan Tenholt, Marie Petite, and Peggy Barnes. These workshops will feature live painting, crafting, and traditional lace-making.

Please be cautious when driving near the Windwardside Parking Lot during the event as there will be pedestrians crossing.

Shuttle bus services will be available to and from the fair.
