The Saba Tourist Bureau proudly participated in the official launch of “4 Islands, One Escape,” a groundbreaking regional tourism initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration and connectivity among St. Maarten/St. Martin, Saba, St. Eustatius, and St. Kitts & Nevis.
The launch events took place in St. Maarten and St. Kitts, featuring remarks from regional tourism leaders, destination representatives, the Makana Ferry team, and the travel agency The Vacation Connection, which developed the special travel packages for the program.
The multi-destination launch was held on Friday, October 31st, beginning in St. Maarten and continuing across the participating islands before culminating in St. Kitts. Representing Saba at the official launch in St. Maarten was Director of Tourism, Malinda Hassell. Following the Makana Ferry’s departure from St. Maarten and arrival on Saba, guests were warmly welcomed by staff of the Saba Tourist Bureau. Policy Advisor Courtney Hassell, representing the bureau, and Commissioner of Tourism, Bruce Zagers, greeted guests and delivered opening remarks.
The following evening, a cocktail reception was held in St. Kitts. Speaking on behalf of Saba, Courtney Hassell emphasized the spirit of collaboration behind the initiative, stating, “This initiative shows what is possible when Caribbean islands move beyond borders and think as one. ‘4 Islands, One Escape’ is more than a tourism campaign – it is a vision of unity, resilience, and shared prosperity for our region.”
Coordinated by Duo Brandits, the initiative brought together tourism bureaus, government officials, media representatives, influencers, travel agents, hoteliers, and activity providers from across the region. The program highlights the interconnected beauty and diversity of the participating islands while promoting a seamless island-hopping experience for visitors.
For Saba and its neighboring islands, this project marks a vital step toward improving regional travel options and strengthening the multi-island visitor experience.
The “4 Islands, One Escape” campaign invites travelers to embark on a journey connecting four distinct destinations each with its own rhythm, charm, and story through one seamless experience. Supported by Makana Ferry, The Vacation Connection, and both public and private sector partners, the initiative reimagines regional travel and strengthens the bonds that unite the Caribbean family.
