Edge II Ferry Sold – Services to Saba Discontinued

As of April 11, 2026, the Edge II ferry has been sold.

Due to the immediate effect of the sale, the vessel will not be able to make a final trip to Saba. All existing Edge II bookings will therefore be canceled, and affected passengers will be contacted individually.

Since 1993, Edge Ferry services has played an important role in connecting the islands, forming many strong partnerships with local tourism operators on Saba, including taxis, hotels, and dive shops.

“We thank the Edge and its crew for all it has done for Saba,” said Commissioner Zagers. “It facilitated many day trippers to Saba over the years, and we value the significant role it played for our tourism sector. Having an additional mode of transportation has been invaluable for an island that is already quite isolated.”

Commissioner Zagers also addressed concerns about future connectivity, stating, “This does not mean we are standing still. We are actively taking steps to ensure that reliable connections remain available.”
