Recent work on the water distribution system has made it possible to safely reopen the station, improving access for water truck operators and supporting water distribution across the island. In particular, the pumping capacity between Fort Bay and The Bottom has been restored, which was necessary to allow the station to operate again.
This was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the team, with support from VEI (Dutch Water Operators). Their involvement reflects the good working relationships Saba maintains to support important infrastructure when needed.
The team worked throughout the holiday weekend to get the station back into operation, and we thank them for their commitment and effort.
As Saba has experienced a dry period in recent times, we take this opportunity to remind residents and businesses to continue being mindful of their water usage and to avoid unnecessary waste.
Public Entity Saba thanks the community for its understanding and cooperation.
