After 24 hours of searching, the emergency services are scaling down by asking the volunteers to step down. Multiple trails have been checked thoroughly, most of the time at least twice.
The local emergency services will continue the search together with the Marines. We urgently remind everyone that searching by yourself or in a group is not encouraged, since there will be no coordination at the location. Therefore, we highly recommend for you to call 911, inform where you are going, with whom and also when you get back.
