We wish to inform the public of trail closures due to the Mount Scenery Tower project and upcoming helicopter operations.
At the summit of Mount Scenery, the trail splits (as depicted in green and red in the accompanying photo).
The path on the right (shown as a red line), leading to the communication tower and Windwardside lookout will be entirely closed for the complete duration of this project, with an estimated completion date in July 2026.
The path on the left (shown as a green line) going towards the Hell’s Gate lookout – the highest point in the kingdom of the Netherlands, will remain open only when helicopter operations are not taking place.
This means that the trail to the summit will be temporarily closed from the junction with the Elfin Forest Trail (shown in the photo) when helicopter operations are taking place.
We ask everyone on the trails to please pay attention to the posted signs, and follow instructions from the site manager and relevant authorities.
