As Carnival celebrations continue throughout the week, Public Entity Saba urges everyone to use extra caution while traveling on the island's roads.
Current dry conditions combined with recent occasional rainfall have increased the risk of falling rocks along roadsides, particularly in areas with steep hillsides and cliffs. Motorists are asked to remain especially vigilant in known rockfall areas, including, but not limited to:
- Giles Quarter (between Windwardside and St. John's)
- Fort Bay Road (from The Bottom to the harbor)
- Wells Bay
When driving, reduce your speed and stay alert for fallen rocks, loose debris, or other hazards on the roadway. While motorists face the greatest risk, hikers and anyone spending time near steep hillsides or cliffs are also encouraged to remain alert and exercise caution.
