We wish to remind the public that J'ouvert Celebrations will begin at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday August 1, beginning at the Tourist Bureau Parking Lot in Windwardside and ending at 8:00 a.m. at the Princess Juliana Sports Field in The Bottom.
On Saturday and Sunday, the parade route will start at Saba Cares and end at the Princess Juliana Sports Field, at 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. respectively.
Parking is completely prohibited along the routes for the J'ouvert celebrations, as well as the Parade Days. We ask residents who are parked in these areas to move their cars before the J'ouvert Celebrations. Cars should also be moved before the parades by 12:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
During the J'ouvert and Parade, we wish to remind everyone that no one should be hanging onto the trailers. Children are also not allowed to sit on the trailers. These precautions are necessary to maintain safety of all participants.
Security personnel will be present throughout both parades. All revelers are asked to follow the instructions of the Police Department, security personnel, emergency services, and event coordinators at all times to help ensure a safe and enjoyable Carnival for everyone.
