Public Entity Saba would like to inform the public of the following safety measures that will be in place during the Carnival period.
Vehicle Access Restrictions
Effective during all Carnival activities, both day and night, the Carnival Village field will be closed to all unauthorized vehicles.
Only the following vehicles will be permitted access:
- Event Promoters
- Police Department
- Safety Department
- Security Personnel
- Emergency Services
- Authorized Event Staff
To prevent unauthorized entry, barricades will be placed at the entrance at the top of the hill opposite Above Nightclub.
Daily Security Sweeps
From Friday, July 24 through Sunday, August 2, the Police Department will conduct daily security sweeps of the Princess Juliana Sports Field starting at 6:00 p.m., with the exception of Sunday, July 26.
During these sweeps, everyone will be asked to wait outside the field while the area is cleared. These measures are necessary to help ensure the safety and security of all patrons.
On evenings when promoter events are taking place, patrons re-entering the field after the security sweep are kindly asked to present a valid ID at the ticket booth before being allowed back inside.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation and ask all motorists and patrons to follow the directions of police officers, security personnel, and event staff. These measures are in place to help ensure a safe and enjoyable Carnival for all.
