Pre-Acknowledgement
To complete the pre-acknowledgement process, please ensure you have the following:
- Valid Identification: Present a valid Saban identification card or a valid passport.
- Parental Presence: Both parents must be present.
- Fee: See total below.
Registration of Birth (Child born on the island)
To register a birth of a child, please ensure you have the following:
- Valid Identification: Present a valid Saban identification card or a valid passport.
- Declaration from Medical Center: Provide a declaration from the medical center.
- Acknowledgment Certificate: If applicable, provide a copy of the acknowledgment certificate.
- Correct Spelling of Child's Name: Ensure the correct spelling of the child's name, including commas, accents, etc.
- Fee: See total below.

Registration of Birth & Acknowledgement (Child born off-island)
To register the birth and acknowledgment of a child born off-island, please ensure you have the following:
- Valid Identification: Present a valid identification card or a valid passport.
- Birth Certificate: Provide the child's birth certificate.
- Saba Registration Form: Optional, with a fee of $9.00 USD.

| If parents are not married, the mother and the baby must be present at the time of registration. |
| If parents are married, either parent and the baby must be present at the time of registration. |
Registration of a Child (Non-Citizen)
For requirements, please contact the Census Office at censusmail@sabagov.nl and refer to the Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) at Rijksdienst Caribisch Nederland.
Emergency Documents for Births
Only during holidays or closing for 3 days or more
- If a baby is born on Saba and needs to be registered outside regular hours, we can provide a birth certificate.
Picket Shift Hours:
- Weekdays: 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Weekends: From Friday 8:00 PM until Monday 6:00 AM
