During this visit, the delegation will meet with members of the Dutch Second Chamber to discuss the implementation of the Bestaansminimum BES. An important part of these discussions will focus on affordability and the real cost of living on Saba, including the high cost of groceries and transportation, such as the short but costly flights to and from the island.
In addition, meetings will be held with various ministries and organizations to discuss key topics including healthcare, education, and opportunities to collaborate on funding and programs that can support sustainable development and create more opportunities for the people of Saba.
The delegation will also meet with Saban students currently studying in the Netherlands.
