This visit is part of his working visit to various branches throughout the Caribbean region.
A brief introduction about the Red Cross was given, including a description of their role during a crisis or disaster. Public Entity Saba acknowledged the Red Cross’ role and expressed their gratitude for providing first aid in emergency situations, both physically and mentally.
One of the topics that was discussed during the Red Cross’ Secretary-General’s work visit was collaboration efforts between Public Entity Saba and the Red Cross.
Joint efforts are already in place for trainings, manning the shelters and preparing for emergencies, among other things.
The Public Entity looks forward to further strengthening its collaboration with the Netherlands' Red Cross in the future.
