The program, held from September 30 to October 3, was a joint collaboration between the Public Entity Saba, the Public Entity St. Eustatius, and the Domestic Safety Advisor, Ms Ramona Berkel and Domestic Violence Coordinator, Mrs. Ereina Hunt-Gorden, with the support of the Life Center Saba and various community partners from Saba and Statia.
Over the course of four days, participants enjoyed a rich program of activities, including cultural games, live music, art sessions, island tours, and shared meals that celebrated unity between the two islands. Highlights included the official opening ceremony, International Day of Older Persons celebration, a lively senior disco, and a farewell island tour. The event emphasized the importance of honoring our elders, fostering friendships, and celebrating their valuable contributions to our communities.
The organizing committee extends its sincere gratitude to all contributors, from caterers, musicians, and volunteers to drivers and facilitators — whose teamwork made this event a true success. Above all, heartfelt thanks go to our beloved seniors from Saba and Statia for their joyful participation and inspiring spirit.
