These car wrecks not only pose environmental and health hazards, serving as breeding grounds for pests such as mosquitoes and rats, but can also create serious obstacles for emergency response services, especially during natural disasters such as hurricanes.
To address this, PES is restarting its Car Wreck Removal Project, which saw over 50 car wrecks being removed last year. This initiative will once again offer free transport of the car wrecks to the waste management facility.
PES encourages residents with car wrecks to take advantage of this opportunity. To participate, vehicles must be registered for removal by July 15, 2025.
