PES Employees Complete Computer Skills Training

On July 1, 2025, Public Entity Saba held a Certificate Ceremony to celebrate the achievements of participants who successfully completed the recent round of Computer Skills Training.

The event, which took place at the Arawak Hotel, recognized public servants who participated in and dedicated their time to developing their digital skills.

The training was facilitated by Gilberto “Junny” Vos, Algemeen Directeur of the Onderwijs Instituut Caribisch Nederland (OICN) on Bonaire. His sessions, which were held at the Tourism Bureau Meeting Room, provided hands-on, beginner-level instruction in key Microsoft Office programs and general PC usage—equipping participants with essential tools for today’s workplace.

Course Offerings & Participation:

  • PC Introduction – 6 participants

  • Introduction to MS Outlook 365 – 12 participants

  • Beginning MS Word 365 – 12 participants

  • Beginning MS Excel 365 – 16 participants

During the ceremony, Acting Governor Shamara Nicholson delivered a brief but powerful speech, congratulating all participants and encouraging continued professional growth. She highlighted the value of lifelong learning and the importance of using these new skills to serve the public more effectively.

Looking ahead, Public Entity Saba is excited to announce that intermediate-level courses will be offered in September/October 2025, along with another opportunity for beginners. Registration links will be shared soon.

PES extends congratulations once again to all participants and looks forward to seeing their continued success.
