Kingdom Taskforce for Children’s Rights meets in Aruba

The Kingdom Taskforce for Children’s Rights held a successful meeting in Aruba, marking a major step forward in strengthening cooperation to protect and promote children’s rights across the Kingdom.

Chaired by Ms. Sacha Geerman of Aruba’s Ministry of Social Affairs, the meeting was the first in-person gathering since the adoption of the Strategic Framework, National Action Plans, and Monitoring Framework developed with UNICEF The Netherlands.

Each island presented local initiatives addressing children’s vulnerabilities, from migrant education to special needs support, and shared progress on implementing the CRC recommendations.

The Taskforce thanked the Government of Aruba for its warm hospitality and reaffirmed its shared commitment to ensuring that every child in the Kingdom can grow up safely, with equal opportunities and access to care, education, and protection.
