Department of Community Development & Culture and Saba Heritage Center Announce Saba Canon Think Tank

The Department of Community Development and Culture Saba in collaboration with the Saba Heritage Center invites the community to attend a Think Tank meeting for the development of the Saba Canon of History and Culture.

The Saba Canon of History and Culture is a curated framework of key events, people, places, and themes that together tell the story of Saba’s development and identity. It is intended to serve as an accessible and authoritative reference for education, public engagement, and cultural preservation, ensuring that Saba’s heritage is documented and shared for current and future generations.

During this session, attendees will be presented with the long list of proposed topics for the Saba Canon and will have the opportunity to provide feedback to help refine and prioritize the content.

A key focus of the evening will be gathering public input on the best ways to distribute the Saba Canon after publication. Community members are encouraged to share ideas on how the Canon can be made accessible and engaging for both local residents and a wider audience.

The meeting will take place on Friday, March 27 at 5:30 PM at the Eugenius Johnson Center.

All residents and interested stakeholders are encouraged to attend and contribute to shaping this important project.
